Job summary

Northern Lights Locating & Inspection, Inc. is seeking an experienced Utility Locator in Hoffman Estates, IL. You will locate underground utilities in compliance with 811 laws, read maps and GIS data, operate locating equipment, and accurately mark utilities with paint and flags.

The role includes documenting work via a mobile app and participating in on-call rotations. Ideal candidates have strong knowledge of 811 practices, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in all weather

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of 811 laws and best locate practices.
• Ability to read and interpret utility maps, as-built drawings, and GIS data.
• Experience using electronic locating equipment and multiple locating methods.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities in compliance with 811 dig laws.
