Northern Lights Locating & Inspection, Inc is seeking an experienced Utility Locator for full-time employment. You will locate underground utilities, interpret maps and GIS data, and accurately mark utilities across your territory with modern locating technology.

Applicants should be self-motivated, able to work in all weather, and communicate effectively with excavators, property owners, and team members. OT availability and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of 811 laws and best locate practices.
• Ability to read and interpret utility maps, as-built drawings, and GIS data.
• Comfort using electronic locating equipment and multiple locating methods.
• Willingness to work overtime and on-call rotations.

Responsabilités

• Locate underground utilities in compliance with 811 laws.
• Read and interpret utility maps, as-built drawings, and GIS data.
• Use electronic locating equipment and multiple locating methods to mark utilities with paint and flags.
• Document all work using a mobile app including photos and reports.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and travel within assigned territory.
