Job summary

Northern Lights Locating & Inspection, Inc. in Boca Raton, FL is seeking an experienced Utility Locator to cover a local territory. You will locate underground utilities, read maps, and document work via a mobile app, ensuring clean marks and timely reporting.

The position requires at least 2 years of utility locating experience, knowledge of 811 laws, a valid driver's license, and willingness to work overtime. We offer competitive pay and benefits, plus nationwide project exposure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years utility locating experience.
• Strong knowledge of 811 laws and best locate practices.
• Ability to pass a drug screen.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to work OT.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities in compliance with 811 laws.
• Read and interpret utility maps, as-built drawings, and GIS data.
• Use electronic locating equipment and multiple locating methods.
• Accurately mark utilities using paint and flags.
• Document all work using a mobile app including photos and reports.
• Investigate and document excavation-related utility damages.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
