Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum 4 years and 8000 hours of on-the-job electrical maintenance training.
• Competency in preventative, predictive, basic care practices, and computerized maintenance systems.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical malfunctions and equipment with test instruments.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems including motors, controls, scales and locomotives.
• Test and monitor systems to locate breakdown causes and correct problems.
• Ensure proper function of electrical safety devices.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair new equipment and systems.
• Follow NEC requirements and assist in writing repair specifications.
