Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking caregivers to support new client admissions and Start of Care visits, providing personal care, meals, and daily living support across the assigned service area. You will monitor client conditions, document visits, and assist with errands as needed.

Responsibilities include housekeeping, transport assistance, and coverage for shifts. A compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach is essential for delivering quality home care to elderly or disabled clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, where required by state regulations
• Minimum six (6) months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals
• Certification as Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, CNA, MA, or similar where required
• Basic technology skills and comfort using mobile devices, apps, and electronic documentation systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing assignments
• Reliable transportation, current registration and auto insurance
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and perform physical caregiving duties

Responsibilities

• Support new client admissions and Start of Care visits
• Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene
• Prepare meals and assist with daily living activities
• Perform housekeeping and household support
• Assist with errands and transportation when appropriate
• Monitor and report changes in client condition
• Maintain accurate documentation and visit records
• Provide coverage for open shifts, call-offs, and urgent staffing needs
• Travel throughout the assigned service area to support clients
