Job summary

Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist for an outpatient clinic in Port Charlotte, FL. The role is offered as an Independent Contractor with flexible hours and telehealth options, serving children aged five and above through in-person and virtual visits.

The candidate must hold an active Florida license and a master’s degree in a relevant field, with outpatient experience preferred. Compensation is per billable hour, with administrative and malpractice support provided.

Qualifications

• Active Florida license.
• Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage & family therapy.
• Outpatient setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions for patients with a variety of mental health conditions.
• Provide different modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families about mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
• Provide documentation of the services rendered in compliance with the company policies and procedures.
• Stay current with advancements in psychotherapy and counseling through continuing education and professional development.
