Grocery Outlet is seeking an Independent Operator to run your own Grocery Outlet store, bearing full responsibility for daily operations and profitability. You’ll recruit and train a team, oversee buying and merchandising, and engage with the local community to drive value.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years’ retail store management or multi-unit restaurant management experience.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for retail and customer service.
• Strong leadership and the ability to build and develop a team.
• Business acumen, including financial and operational management experience.
• Willingness to relocate and commit to the full training and onboarding process.
• A drive for success and the ability to work independently while leveraging the support of the Grocery Outlet network.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, including profitability and growth.
• Recruit, hire, and train a high-performing team.
• Buy and merchandise: leverage Grocery Outlet’s buying model to meet local preferences.
• Engage with local community organizations and causes.
• Manage financial performance: sales, margins, expenses, and profitability.
• Create an inviting, well-stocked store with excellent customer experience.
• Operate with autonomy to fit community needs.
• Offer uncapped earning potential: higher store sales yield higher commissions.
• Set and manage your schedule within full-time commitment.
• Receive training, mentorship, and corporate support as needed.
