Independent Sales Representative – Southeast (NC, SC, GA)

Location: Southeast (NC, SC, GA)

Reports to: National Sales Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Independent Sales Representative to join our team and manage retail partnerships in the Southeast Territory. The ideal candidate will be passionate about cycling, knowledgeable about the industry, and skilled in fostering relationships with retailers to drive sales and brand loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Retail Engagement: Actively promote Hayes Bicycle Group products to retailers, ensuring they have the knowledge, tools, and support to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
  2. Product Expertise: Provide technical assistance and recommendations, matching Hayes products to specific cycling applications.
  3. Marketing Support: Collaborate with the Hayes marketing team to coordinate retailer marketing activities, promotional campaigns, and in-store initiatives.
  4. Training & Development: Ensure retailers are well-trained in Hayes brand products and have access to technical resources through collaboration with the Technical Service and Customer Care teams.
  5. Sales Performance: Meet or exceed monthly sales targets. Provide regular sales forecasts and territory performance updates to the National Sales Manager.
  6. Event Representation: Attend trade shows, cycling events, and retailer engagements to represent Hayes brands and build relationships.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience in sales, preferably in the bicycle or sports industry.
  2. Deep knowledge of cycling products and applications.
  3. Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and manage a multi-state territory.
  5. Must be available for frequent travel and attendance at industry events.

Compensation:

This is an independent contractor role. Compensation is commission-based with potential for significant earnings based on sales performance.
