Role Overview
We’re seeking a self‑motivated Independent Sales Consultant (100% commission, contractor) to generate new business and drive growth for our retainer‑based digital services. You will identify, pursue, and close new clients, focusing on high‑value, recurring contracts—while leveraging our tiered bonus program to maximize your earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect & Generate Leads: Research, identify, and engage potential clients across Hawai‘i and beyond who would benefit from ongoing digital media services.
- Build Relationships: Develop trust with decision‑makers (CMOs, owners, marketing directors) at small‑to‑mid‑sized businesses and demonstrate how our solutions drive growth.
- Present Proposals & Close Deals: Craft customized service proposals (social media, SEO, hosting, ad management, etc.) and negotiate contracts that align with clients’ objectives and budgets.
- Drive Retainer Sales: Prioritize recurring engagements (monthly retainers) to ensure long‑term value for both client and company.
- Collaborate Internally: Coordinate with our account managers, content creators, and developers to ensure seamless onboarding and delivery once a deal is closed.
- Meet & Exceed Targets: Hit quarterly new‑MRR (monthly recurring revenue) thresholds to unlock tiered bonuses on top of baseline commissions.
- Maintain Pipeline & CRM: Keep accurate records of prospects, opportunities, and deal stages; provide regular forecast updates.
- Client Advocacy: Advocate for clients internally, ensuring high retention rates and satisfaction that fuel your ongoing residuals.
Qualifications & Skills
- Sales Experience: 3+ years of B2B sales, preferably in digital media, SaaS, marketing, or advertising.
- Track Record: Proven ability to close retainer‑based contracts (minimum $1,000–$2,500+/month) and generate predictable revenue.
- Consultative Selling: Ability to uncover a prospect’s pain points, present ROI‑focused solutions, and negotiate win‑win agreements.
- Self‑Starter: Highly motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working independently as a contractor.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills; ability to build rapport in person, on calls, and via virtual meetings.
- Organizational Skills: Experience managing a robust sales pipeline and meeting (or exceeding) quarterly targets.
- Hawaii Market Knowledge (Plus): Familiarity with local Hawai‘i businesses, culture, and economic landscape.
- Tech‑Savvy: Comfortable using CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent), video conferencing, and sales enablement platforms.
Compensation & Incentives
- 100% Commission Contractor Role: No base salary; earnings are entirely performance‑based.
- Residual Commissions: Earn ongoing monthly residuals on any retainer‑based service you sell (paid monthly once client invoices clear).
- One‑Off Project Commissions: Each standalone project (e.g., website build, SEO audit) also carries a commission payout upon payment.
