OGD Overhead Garage Door is seeking motivated independent contractors to join as Independent Residential Garage Door Technicians. This 1099 role offers flexible scheduling, uncapped commissions, and weekly payments for repair, installation, and maintenance of residential garage doors.

No prior garage door experience is required as training is provided. You must own a pickup truck (≤20 years old) and be willing to attend a 10‑day training in Fort Worth, TX to learn service standards and systems.

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools and equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to service jobs within an agreed-upon service area.
• Willingness to attend an initial 10‑day training session in Fort Worth, TX to learn service standards and systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential garage door repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose customer concerns and provide effective solutions in a professional manner.
• Use OGD's job-routing platform to accept available jobs and communicate job status.
• Maintain a high level of customer service throughout each job.
• Perform all work in accordance with industry-standard safety practices.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and ladders up to 8 feet.
• Remove and haul away old garage doors and equipment.
• Maintain accurate job documentation and work order updates.
