Job summary

OGD Overhead Garage Door is seeking motivated independent contractors to join as Independent Residential Garage Door Technicians. This 1099 role provides repair, installation, and maintenance for residential customers with a focus on customer service and professionalism.

No prior garage door experience is required—training is provided, and contractors set their own schedule within a service area. Training in Fort Worth, TX is required, with weekly compensation between $1,200 and $1,700 based on

Qualifications

Own a pickup truck 20 years old or newer.
Mechanically inclined and comfortable with tools.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to service jobs within an agreed service area.
Willingness to attend an initial 10-Day training session in Fort Worth, TX to learn OGD's service standards and systems.

Responsibilities

Perform residential garage door repairs, installations, and maintenance.
Diagnose customer concerns and provide effective solutions.
Use OGD's job-routing platform to accept available jobs and communicate job status.
Maintain a high level of customer service throughout each job.
Perform all work in accordance with industry-standard safety practices.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and ladders up to 8 feet.
Remove and haul away old garage doors and equipment.
Maintain accurate job documentation and work order updates.
