Job summary

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine administers a fellowship program with the Air Force and national laboratories. Eligible applicants are U.S. citizens with Ph.D. or equivalent degrees and senior awards for those with more than five years since degree.

Fellows design and conduct independent projects, gain visibility through competitive awards, and benefit from full-time research opportunities at Air Force facilities, with collaboration among leading scientists.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct an independent research project in an area compatible with the Air Force laboratories.
• Enhance visibility in the field through a nationally recognized, competitive award.
• Devote full-time effort to mission-driven research contributing to national priorities.
• Access the Air Force research facilities and collaborate with leading scientists and engineers.
