Job summary

Kettering Health in Miamisburg, OH seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver direct primary care as part of a multidisciplinary team. The APP will perform history taking, exams, order entry, and coordination of care with supervising physicians, with potential on-call and weekend duties.

Qualifications

• APRN: Master’s degree with an Advanced Practice Nursing Focus and National Board Certification required
• PA: Master’s degree required with the appropriate National Certification
• APRN - National Board Certification as a CNP, CNS, CNM, or CRNA (APRN certification to match scope of practice)
• PA- NCCPA
• BLS certification required
• Current Ohio Board of Nursing license for APRN
• Current Ohio License 50RX – License to practice as a physician assistant with prescriptive authority

Responsibilities

• Evaluate signs and symptoms, including age-appropriate changes, noting pertinent positives and negatives (patient care).
• Assess the complex acute, critical, and chronically ill-patient and obtains relevant comprehensive and problem-focused health histories, prioritizing data collection.
• Develop and reformulate differential diagnoses by priority, identify co-morbidities, and use diagnostic strategies.
• Participate in daily team transition huddles to facilitate coordinated patient care.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities and manage orders; review labs and tests with the team.
• Ensure quality of care through ongoing education, certification, and evaluation.
