Job summary

The Comforted Kitty in Walnut Creek seeks reliable pet lovers to provide in-home dog or cat sitting visits and dog walking while clients are away. This flexible, part-time independent contractor role lets you set your availability and service area, making it ideal for students or second jobs.

You'll perform visits that include feeding, water, play, and updates via our app, with weekend and holiday availability highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for dogs or cats in a pet sitting capacity.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Strong written communication.
• Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes.
• Smartphone with reliable internet and camera.
• Medication experience (oral, injections, fluids).
• Willing to work weekends, holidays, mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home dog or cat sitting visits.
• Walk dogs (30-90 minutes) or drop-ins (30-60 minutes) as needed.
• Send visit updates and photos through our app.
• Follow each client’s care instructions.
• Assist with light house tasks (mail, lights, trash) as requested.
• Administer medication within your experience and comfort level.
