Job summary

Walmart is seeking an Independent Optometrist leasing space inside our stores to lead patient care in eye and vision health, as well as general wellbeing. You will have autonomy to set practice days, hours, and patient schedules, and to determine your fee schedule.

As a lease holder you may opt into equipment/instrumentation and support services (if state allows). This is an independent arrangement, not traditional employment with Walmart.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications for a lease agreement as an optometrist in Walmart locations.
• Licenses and certifications must be current and valid for operating in your state.
• Independent lease arrangement with autonomy over practice parameters.

Responsibilities

• Lead patient care in eye and vision health and overall wellbeing within Walmart stores.
• Establish your days of practice and hours of operation.
• Control your patient schedule and set your fee schedule.
• Keep 100% of exam and professional fees where applicable.
• Utilize equipment/instrumentation and access support services if available.

Education

Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school

Valid state optometry license

Ophthalmologist MD or DO from an accredited school

Valid state ophthalmology license

General Liability Certificate

Professional Liability Insurance Certificate
