Job summary

Walmart Inc. is expanding a lease-based optometry program in its stores, inviting independent Doctors of Optometry to establish a practice within designated Walmart locations.

You will diagnose and manage eye and vision care while benefiting from the store’s foot traffic and patient base. As a lease holder, you control your days, hours, and fees, with optional access to equipment instrumentation and administrative or Opt-Tech support where allowed by state law.

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited optometry program required.
• Active, valid state optometry license required.
• MD or DO ophthalmology degree from an accredited school required.
• Active state ophthalmology license required.
• General liability certificate required.
• Professional liability insurance certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Provide eye and vision care to patients within Walmart stores.
• Establish your days of practice and hours of operation.
• Keep 100% of exam and professional fees as a lease holder.
• Opt into equipment instrumentation and/or admin/Opt-Tech support where allowed by state.

Education

OD from accredited optometry school

Valid state optometry license

MD/DO ophthalmologist from accredited school

Valid state ophthalmology license

General Liability Certificate

Professional Liability Insurance Certificate
