Job summary

UVM Health in Vermont seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate under the Director of Operations and Radiologist Team Leader, independently performing the majority of diagnostic imaging exams with minimal supervision. The role includes cross-training in other imaging modalities to meet staffing needs.

Applicants must have formal Medical Radiography training, ARRT registry eligibility or certification, and Vermont State License. Experience up to six months is expected to reach proficiency.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of formal Medical Radiography training in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Employees who are cross-trained in more than one DI modality are responsible for all aspects of the job descriptions in each separate modality.
• Competencies in each modality must be kept at adequate levels of performance for each area, and necessary documentation, including certification renewals, must take place on a yearly basis.

Responsibilities

• Independent performance of the majority of diagnostic imaging exams with minimal supervision under the supervision of the Director / Operations Supervisor and the Radiologist / Team Leader.
• Cross-training in other Diagnostic Imaging modalities as needed by departmental staffing requirements.
