Job summary

Mai Animal Health in Spring Valley, WI is seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined manufacturing technician to own the manufacturing process from start to finish. This role focuses on producing a specialized product for the animal health industry using our custom equipment.

You will set up and operate equipment, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, inspect quality, and document production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two or more years of manufacturing, production, machine operation, or related experience preferred.
• Two or more years of mechanical experience, including troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, or working with manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions, specifications, warnings, labels, and other production documentation.
• Willingness to become certified to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture products from raw materials through final completion.
• Set up, operate, adjust, and monitor specialized manufacturing equipment.
• Operate equipment including material slicers, assembly machinery, drying ovens, and other custom-built production equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic equipment repairs.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and production issues to minimize downtime.
• Identify, investigate, and correct product quality issues throughout the manufacturing process.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet established specifications.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe equipment and work areas.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and equipment performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
