Independent Maintenance Technician - Metal Manufacturing

Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support repairs, install equipment, diagnose issues and complete work orders with a focus on safety and quality. You will work closely with the maintenance manager and supervisor to ensure timely execution of tasks.

The role requires the ability to work independently, communicate with the team, and follow GMP and safety regulations in a metal manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
• 2+ years minimum experience as a maintenance mechanic in metal manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GMP ISO9001 standards for metals manufacturing.
• PLC experience preferred.
• Experience with welding, cutting, machine and hand tools preferred.
• Experience in high-speed packaging, welding and mechanical power transmission preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with minimal supervision and complete assigned maintenance tasks.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts.
• Troubleshoot/repair machinery such as slitters, collectors, welders, conveyors, and palletizers.
• Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Repair gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Perform building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and upkeep.
