Job summary

Underwriter Services Association Inc. seeks experienced Commercial Lines Loss Control Consultants to perform inspections and consultative visits across the area. This is a 1099 contract role paid per inspection or hourly, with weekly payments after report submission.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of loss control experience, own equipment, reliable transportation, and strong communication skills. Certification such as CSP or ARM is a plus; bilingual applicants are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience completing property and casualty loss control surveys and reports.
• Understanding of general liability and property lines of coverage.
• General understanding of commercial auto, workers compensation, and inland marine lines of coverage preferred.
• Ability to meet hard due dates with minimum supervision.
• Own a computer with Windows operating system and reliable transportation.
• Bi-lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set site inspection appointments with insured/agent via email and/or phone.
• Complete physical inspections of properties within an assigned territory as required by the carrier.
• Take digital photos of properties.
• Identify and document hazards/controls at the property.
• Complete on-site management interviews regarding the property, as required.
• Upload report/photos through a cloud-based system.
• Complete online training courses, as required.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
• Follow all safety and security procedures.
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
