Job summary

Healthy Living Option Inc. is seeking caregivers to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living full, independent lives at home and in the community. Responsibilities include supporting daily living activities and accompanying individuals to appointments and activities.

Responsibilities also involve documenting daily progress, communicating any changes to the team, and safely transporting clients to appointments and community events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• CNA certification.
• CMT certification.
• MANDT certification.
• DDA Core Competencies.
• Maryland Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support daily living with skills such as cooking, cleaning and all ADL.
• Able to use a Hoyer lift.
• Help people take part in community activities and appointments.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation and share updates promptly with the team.
• Able to drive individuals to CDS activities, medical appointments and visits.
