Job summary

JusticeWorks YouthCare is seeking a Full-Time Independent Living Specialist to support youth in developing the skills needed for successful adulthood.

You will work one-on-one with youth to build independent living skills, provide guidance in education, career, and employment planning, and teach daily living skills, budgeting, and financial responsibility. This role may involve evening and weekend work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to pass required background clearances.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with youth to build independent living skills.
• Provide guidance in education, career, and employment planning.
• Teach daily living skills, budgeting, and financial responsibility.
• Support substance abuse prevention and healthy decision-making.
• Assist youth in obtaining items through the stipend program.
• Connect youth with community resources (housing, education, employment).
• Transport youth to homes, foster placements, and program sites using your personal vehicle.
