Job summary

Vista Life Innovations is seeking Life Skills Instructors to support adults with disabilities through home and community instruction, helping members build independence and life skills with a person-centered approach.

The role emphasizes one-to-one and small group activities, documentation, and collaboration with program staff, with scheduling across daytime, afternoon, and evening hours seven days a week.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus 1 year of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• CPR and First Aid, PMT certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• ABI ILST Certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with computers for instruction and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create a supportive, inclusive learning environment in members' homes and community settings to reach independence goals.
• Provide one-to-one or small group instruction focusing on communication, problem-solving, and time management.
• Follow individualized strategies to help members gain independence.
• Foster relationship building and social interactions with peers.
• Assist with day-to-day program operations, including household management.
• Complete all necessary documentation using applicable systems.
