Job summary

Thrive Support Services Inc. seeks an ILS Instructor to empower individuals with developmental disabilities in San Leandro, CA. This full-time role involves teaching independent living skills, supporting clients in community settings, and coordinating monthly outings to build real-world independence.

No prior experience is required as training is provided; you will work with a small caseload and help clients achieve goals like budgeting, housing, and transportation.

Qualifications

A genuine wish to help others and support independence.
Access to a reliable vehicle to transport clients as needed.
Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
Must pass DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance.
No prior experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

Provide independent living skills instruction to clients one-on-one.
Manage a caseload of approximately 3–6 clients across Alameda/Contra Costa Counties.
Plan and participate in monthly community outings with each client.
Assist clients with money management, transportation, housing, and benefits.
Drive clients to appointments and reimburse mileage as needed.
