Job summary

DON Services in New Castle, PA is seeking an Independent Living Coordinator to support consumer service plans and coordinate attendants in line with the Independent Living Philosophy and Pennsylvania law.

The role includes scheduling on-call and pre-scheduled attendants, arranging back-up care, filling shifts, and maintaining documentation. The position is full-time with hourly pay of $17 and benefits such as health, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, write and understand language to communicate with consumers and providers.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and to deal with problems involving several variables.

Responsibilities

• Schedule on-call and pre-scheduled attendants for consumers.
• Arrange for back-up attendant care and fill shifts when needed.
• Inform supervisor of problems relating to employed attendants and record call-offs or refusals.
• Verify hours worked by attendants and ensure proper documentation.
• Pre-employment screening of potential attendants and maintain weekly communication with consumers.
