MRC Industries, Inc. is hiring a Youth and Adult Independent Living Supports Coach to provide community living supports for youth and adults. Roles include instruction on goals, meal planning, medication management, shopping, safety, ADLs, and community engagement, ensuring dignity and choices whenever possible.

The job requires documenting progress, coordinating with teams, and maintaining a safe environment. Shift options include nights, days, and weekends based on availability.

Qualifikationen

• Problem solving and judgment to respond to emergencies.
• Reading and writing goals and objectives.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of people.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Criminal records, driving and recipient rights screening required.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license and vehicle available for use on the job.

Aufgaben

• Instruct and assist with client service plan goals and community living supports.
• Attend staff and service team meetings to evaluate and develop client goals.
• Provide training in independent living skills.
• Document daily activities and complete required paperwork on time.
• Supervise medication administration and monitor health treatments.
• Transport and supervise clients to community appointments.
• Run groups or provide one-to-one interactions to promote independence.
• Disburse client funds and record transactions accurately.
• Intervene when behaviors occur and use approved intervention techniques.
• Ensure health and safety and a clean environment for individuals served.
