Job summary

ALLCARE HOMECARE LLC in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking an Independent Living Services (ILS) Coach to support an individual with Autism. You will help increase independence in daily living, self-advocacy, meal prep, and community recreation in home and community settings.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism preferred.
• Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
• Patient, dependable, and adaptable; able to work independently during scheduled afternoon hours.
• Two forms of valid identification.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Live Scan fingerprint clearance and TB test clearance.

• Provide guidance and support with communication.

• Assist with client in exploring recreational interests.
• Break tasks into manageable steps to support success.
• Practice social communication.
• Support planning simple, nutritious meals; assist with safe cooking.
• Adapt cooking tasks to ensure accessibility and safety.
• Provide guidance on responding to non-preferred topics.
• Support client conversations with coworkers; maintain interactions.
• Assist in expressing needs and feelings appropriately.
• Provide training to ensure effective, safe service.
