Job summary

CAMBA is hiring a Residential Aide to support clients at 9400 Ditmars Boulevard, Queens, NY 11369. This full-time role (35 hours/week) offers an hourly wage of $18.50 and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will help clients develop independent living skills, manage food inventory, and orient newcomers to available services and personal care items. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, DOH/MH attestation, and compliance with health and safety certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Must sign NYC DOH/MH attestation stating that candidate has not been the subject of a founded child abuse report.
• Pass exam and become a certified Food Handler (DOH Food Protection 15-hour course).
• Must obtain annual PPD test.
• May be required to become First Aid/CPR certified.
• May be required to become certified in overdose prevention.
• Bi-lingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in developing independent living skills through activities of daily living (laundry, meal preparation, cleanup, personal hygiene, shopping, and schedule maintenance).
• Maintain inventory of food and dry goods.
• Provide clients with orientation of the facility, services and personal care items upon arrival.
