View Behavioral Health is seeking an Adult Certification Review Officer to conduct Certification Review Hearings in accordance with the Lanterman-Petris-Short Act. This role requires strong decision-making and communication skills, assessed for neutrality and independence.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in quasi-judicial proceedings and must understand patients' rights. Candidates with a Juris Doctor or Master's degree in a relevant field are encouraged to apply.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum two years of experience in LPS Certification Review Hearings or similar quasi-judicial proceedings.
• Experience with San Bernardino County Superior Court system is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Conduct Certification Review Hearings within required timelines.
• Determine probable cause for continued involuntary detention.
• Ensure due process protections are upheld.

Kenntnisse

Knowledge of WIC §§5150, 5250, and 5270

Understanding of patients’ rights and due process protections

Strong communication skills

Decision-making skills

Ability to maintain objectivity and neutrality

Ausbildung

Juris Doctor (JD) or Master’s degree in relevant field
