Job summary

Ascent Global Logistics invites experienced Independent Freight Agents to join our brokerage network on a 1099 basis. Build relationships, source carriers, and negotiate competitive rates while managing shipments from booking to delivery. You will operate within our trusted brand, using our TMS and load boards to ensure proactive issue resolution and compliant records.

The role offers uncapped commission potential and dedicated onboarding support to help you grow your own book of business.

Qualifications

• Independent contractor with transferable book of business required.
• Strong knowledge of carrier operations, dispatching, and rate negotiation.
• Experience with TMS platforms and load boards such as DAT and Truckstop.

Responsibilities

• Build customer relationships and secure freight opportunities.
• Source and qualify carriers using Ascent’s systems and tools.
• Negotiate rates and handle required shipment documentation.
• Manage shipments through the full lifecycle from booking to delivery.
• Resolve service issues through proactive communication.
• Maintain accurate system records and follow company compliance standards.
