Job summary

The Hill Group is seeking a skilled Sprinkler Foreman to service fire sprinkler systems across commercial, industrial, and residential settings. The role requires independent work, strong technical knowledge, and clear communication with customers and office staff.

Responsibilities include inspection and testing per NFPA 25, maintenance and repair of piping and devices, and possible installations or upgrades. On-call rotations and accurate reporting are expected.

Qualifications

• Active journeyman status in Local 669.
• Minimum 5 years of fire sprinkler installation and service experience.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 13 and NFPA 25, and applicable codes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and service tickets.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test fire sprinkler systems (wet-pipe, dry-pipe, pre-action, deluge, foam) per NFPA 25 and regulations.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance and repairs on system components; replace parts as needed.
• Assist with or perform new system installations or upgrades per engineering guidelines and fire codes.
• Accurately record payroll and document inspections, maintenance, repairs, and deficiencies using handheld devices or computers.
• Generate detailed reports for clients and management with clarity and completeness.
• Participate in on-call rotations for emergency troubleshooting and repair services.
• Work safely and in compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and OSHA policies.
