Job summary

Signature Companies is seeking experienced High Value Residential Insurance Inspectors to work as independent contractors in Michigan. You will perform on-site surveys, document high-end features, and prepare underwriter-ready reports for carriers in Charlevoix, Emmet, Cheboygan, and Antrim counties.

Applicants should have strong construction knowledge, be able to work independently, and communicate effectively with homeowners and insurance agents while ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all

Qualifications

• Direct experience as a High Value Residential Insurance Inspector.
• Background in insurance inspections, loss control, underwriting support, or luxury home appraisals.
• Proficiency with diagramming software such as Rapid Sketch, Xactimate, CAD or similar tools.
• Excellent communication with homeowners and insurance agents.

Responsibilities

• Interact with homeowners and insurance agents by phone, email, and in person.
• Schedule and conduct on-site inspections of high-value residential properties.
• Document construction features, finishes, and architectural elements.
• Capture measurements, photos, and site observations.
• Identify underwriting concerns, hazards, and loss exposures.
• Develop replacement cost estimates reflecting quality materials and craftsmanship.
• Submit timely web-based reports meeting carrier guidelines.
• Communicate findings in Loss Control 360 via Signature website.
