Job summary

Signature Appraisals, Underwriting and Loss Control is seeking experienced High Value Residential Insurance Inspectors to join as independent contractors to perform on-site surveys across the Delmarva Peninsula. You will independently manage inspections, document features, and report findings to underwriters.

Ideal candidates have strong construction knowledge, experience with replacement-cost estimates, and proficiency in diagramming tools.

Qualifications

• Direct experience as a High Value Residential Insurance Inspector.
• Background in inspections, loss control, underwriting support, or luxury home appraisals.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and features.
• Experience estimating replacement costs for high-value properties.
• Proficiency with diagramming software such as Rapid Sketch, Xactimate, CAD, or similar.
• Excellent communication with homeowners and agents.
• Strong time management and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Interact with homeowners and insurance agents by phone, email, and in person.
• Schedule and conduct on-site inspections of high-value properties.
• Accurately document construction features, finishes, and architectural elements.
• Capture measurements, photos, and site observations.
• Identify underwriting concerns, hazards, and loss exposures.
• Develop replacement cost estimates reflecting quality materials.
• Submit timely reports meeting carrier guidelines.
• Relay inspection findings in Loss Control 360 on Signature's site.
