Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice in Omaha, NE, is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to provide compassionate in-home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative care. You’ll work in a supportive, values-driven environment with a collaborative leadership team and flexible scheduling.

A strong emphasis on dignity and compassionate care guides every visit. This role offers autonomy, meaningful work, and a low-stress medical environment, with comprehensive training provided and opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited veterinary school.
• Active veterinary license in the state of practice (or ability to obtain).
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative care in a compassionate, Fear Free–aligned manner.
• Support families through the end-of-life process with empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Collaborate with medical leadership and support teams.
• Participate in ongoing training, education, and clinical development.
