Job summary

SilverRide is seeking reliable, friendly independent contractor drivers to partner with us in Boston. Help older adults get to medical appointments and social activities with door-through-door assistance, while enjoying flexible driving opportunities.

We require a valid U.S. driver's license, a clean record for several years, and passing background and drug tests. Drivers must maintain vehicle standards and complete credentialing for service to riders with mobility needs.

Qualifications

• Age 21 or older.
• A valid U.S. driver's license for a minimum of 3 years with a clean driving record; background checks apply.
• Pass Federal Transit Authority and state drug/alcohol tests prior to employment and during activity.
• Willingness to be fingerprinted and pass a criminal background check.
• No felonies or charges involving violence; not on the National Sex Offender Registry.
• Meet credentialing requirements related to senior condition, ADA, safety, and transfers.
• Drivers must take passengers with service animals; 4-door sedan or low SUV, 2014+ with 5–8 seats.
• Current vehicle registration and proof of insurance; vehicle inspection required.
• Vehicle clean with no smoke or drug odors.

Responsibilities
