The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Dallas is seeking a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technician to operate ultrasound equipment and produce cross sectional and two-dimensional images for diagnostic purposes.

The incumbent will perform complex ultrasound examinations independently and schedule patients while prioritizing critical and emergency cases. Preferred candidates will have licensure or certification (CCI/ARDMS) and BLS/ACLS, with strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: U.S. citizen is required.
• Licensure/Certification: Licensure/Certification not required but strongly desirable (CCI or ARDMS).
• Registrations: CCI or ARDMS registration is highly desirable.
• CPR/BLS/ACLS: BCLS and ACLS certifications are desirable.
• English proficiency: must be proficient in spoken and written English.

Responsabilités

• Operate diagnostic ultrasonic scanning equipment to produce cross sectional and two-dimensional images.
• Perform complex ultrasound examinations independently.
• Schedule patients for examinations and rearrange for critical/emergency procedures.
• Assist radiologists with biopsy procedures and coordinate scheduling for optimal throughput.
