Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years governmental or commercial accounting experience.
• Experience reviewing and approving independent contractor payments.
• Knowledge of IRS regulations and forms related to nonresident alien payments.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve vouchers for independent contractors and nonresident alien payments.
• Assist CSU personnel with payment issues and inquiries.
• Process treaty benefits for nonresident alien contractors per immigration law.
• Maintain current knowledge of IRS regulations and forms related to payments.
• Respond to inquiries about payments to foreign individuals/entities with clear guidance.
• Assist in approving vendor payments for researchers and participants.
• Cross-train to cover all Independent Contractor team functions.
