Job summary

Beacon Inspections is seeking Commercial Vehicle Inspectors on a contract/1099 basis. You would be an independent contractor paid a flat rate per inspection plus mileage reimbursement.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with trucks, trailers, and equipment, plus the ability to work with minimal supervision. ASE certification is preferred and access to a reliable smartphone/tablet, laptop, and diagnostic tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with trucks, trailers and equipment preferred.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Independent contractor with 1099 status.

Responsibilities

• Complete inspections and generate reports with photos and videos (100+ photos).
• Schedule inspections and coordinate with on-site contacts.
• Start and move vehicles to capture required images and data.
• Check diagnostics using scanners and read fault codes.
