Independent Contractor – Commercial Insurance Inspector (Olympia, WA)

Position Overview

EXL Risk Control is seeking self-directed independent contractors with excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and a commitment to quality and timeliness. You will work remotely from your home or office, servicing onsite survey and inspection assignments in Olympia, WA.

Preferred experience includes commercial insurance, real estate, inspection, construction, claims, loss control, underwriting, or fire and safety. Candidates without experience are encouraged to apply; we offer a 15-hour online certification to qualify you. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and the specific job.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct on-site surveys and inspections of businesses including retail, restaurants, hotels, apartments, construction sites, churches, and schools.
• Provide detailed risk control reports to insurance clients, including recommendations to mitigate potential losses.
• Manage your assignments, secure customer appointments within your local territory, and complete work on schedule.
