Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Virginia is seeking a Contract Beautician to provide on-site salon services to residents. This independent contractor role emphasizes flexibility, meaningful engagement with seniors, and delivering grooming and styling to help residents look and feel their best.

The Beautician is responsible for licensing, insurance, and business operations, with a 90/10 revenue split in favor of the Beautician; part-time options may exist and CSL license considerations apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Virginia cosmetology license.
• Must carry liability insurance of at least $1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate.
• 90/10 fee structure: 90% to beautician, 10% to Commonwealth Senior Living.
• Contracted position; Beautician is responsible for licensing, insurance, and business operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide haircuts, styling, coloring, and basic nail care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming salon environment.
• Build positive relationships with residents and foster warmth.
• Schedule services and manage payments directly with residents.
• Partner with community staff to ensure smooth and safe salon operations.
