Job summary

Harvest Tech Solutions is seeking a reliable Low-Voltage Wiring Technician to perform network cabling installations at commercial facilities. You will run, terminate, test, and organize Cat5e/Cat6 cables, install in IDF/MDF rooms, racks, and patch panels, and ensure neat, compliant installs.

Qualifications

• Experience running and terminating low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6).
• Basic understanding of IP networking, Ethernet, switches, routers, and wireless APs.
• Ability to read cabling plans and install instructions.
• Familiarity with cable testers and basic troubleshooting tools.

Responsibilities

• Run low-voltage cabling including Cat5e and Cat6 in commercial buildings.
• Install cables through ceilings, walls, trays, conduits and pathways.
• Terminate cables at jacks, patch panels, and connection points.
• Organize cabling in IDF/MDF closets and telecom rooms.
• Label, test, and troubleshoot cable runs for proper connectivity.
• Assist with installing network racks, patch panels, and wall plates.
• Follow cable management best practices for neat installations.
• Coordinate with IT and building contacts to meet project requirements.
• Identify and report wiring issues and installation obstacles.
• Maintain professional conduct in occupied facilities.
