Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join a critical access hospital on California's Mendocino Coast as the primary weekend CLS, performing high‑complexity testing across multiple disciplines in an independent work environment. Schedule: three 12‑hour shifts on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 5:00 AM–5:30 PM, with no on‑call.

Requires CA CLS license, BS in a related field, 5+ years of CLS experience, Epic experience, and ASCP preferred;

Qualifications

• Active California CLS license.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years CLS experience.
• Experience in microbiology, blood bank, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis.
• Epic experience preferred; phlebotomy not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity laboratory testing across multiple departments.
• Analyze and verify laboratory results for accuracy.
• Test in microbiology, blood bank, hematology, chemistry, coagulation, and urinalysis.
• Troubleshoot laboratory instruments and perform quality control procedures.
• Communicate critical laboratory values to providers.
• Maintain laboratory documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Support laboratory operations while working independently during weekend shifts.
