Job summary

Graceland Portable Buildings is seeking an Independent Contractor Driver to transport and set portable buildings. This is a 1099 contract role; you provide your own truck/equipment and insurance and are not a Graceland employee, but a partner.

You’ll deliver, level, anchor as needed, and communicate ETAs with dispatch. The role requires a valid Class A CDL and the ability to meet Graceland safety requirements. Regionally travel may be needed.

• Use phone/tablet to receive dispatch details and submit required paperwork/photos.
• Maintain contractor-owned truck/trailer/equipment in safe working condition.
• Follow all applicable DOT/FMCSA requirements and safe work practices.
• Provide professional, courteous service that reflects well on Graceland.

Requirements (Contractor / 1099)

• Valid Class A CDL and acceptable driving record.
• Own truck/trailer/equipment suitable for transporting and setting portable buildings.
• Maintain required commercial auto liability insurance (and any other coverage required by contract) and provide proof upon request.
• Ability to meet Graceland safety requirements (may include background screening/drug testing as permitted by law).
• Ability to work regionally/out of town as needed.

Physical Demands

• Able to lift/move up to 75+ lbs and perform physical work outdoors in varying weather.
• Comfortable with standing, walking, bending, and manual labor throughout the day.
