Job summary
The Comforted Kitty in Mountain View, CA seeks a part-time cat sitter to visit clients' homes and care for their cats. You set your availability and service area as an independent contractor, matching with clients who travel or need peace of mind.
Ideal candidates are experienced with cat care, reliable and detail oriented, with good written communication and the ability to work independently in clients’ homes. Smartphone access and flexible weekend availability are a plus.
Qualifications
- Experience caring for cats, including feeding, litter box upkeep and play.
- Reliable, punctual and detail-oriented.
- Strong written communication for updates.
- Comfortable working in clients' homes independently.
- Smartphone with internet and camera access.
- Experience with medications (oral, injections, fluids) if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-home cat sitting visits as scheduled.
- Feed cats and refresh water; clean litter boxes.
- Provide playtime, affection, or companionship as needed.
- Send visit updates and photos via app.
- Follow each client’s care instructions exactly.
- Collect mail/packages as requested.
- Adjust lights/blinds/trash as instructed.
- Administer medications when experience permits.
