Job summary

Island Doctors is seeking an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to manage health problems and coordinate care for our patients in Georgia. This licensed independent practitioner will work Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, within the primary care team.

Duties include performing history and physical exams, ordering tests, prescribing medications, advising on lifestyle changes, and maintaining complete medical records. The role requires APRN licensure, NP certification in a specialty, and at least one year of

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure.
• Current Nurse Practitioner certification in specialty area.
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform age-appropriate history and physical examinations for complex patients.
• Order laboratory and radiology tests and refer to specialists when needed.
• Prescribe medications and treatment regimens to address identified conditions.
• Discuss potential medication side effects and update allergy information.
• Provide primary medical care within standard of care with the healthcare team.
• Analyze reports and test results to diagnose conditions and propose treatments.
• Advise patients on lifestyle and dietary changes to improve health.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy laws.
• Record complete, timely and legible medical records.
• Assist with training and compliance actions.
• Perform other duties as needed.
