Job summary

Inova is seeking a Specialty Advanced Practice Provider to perform independent assessment, diagnosis and initiation of medical processes under physician supervision in Virginia. Requires a Virginia-appropriate NP or PA licensure with a signed practice agreement and scope of practice protocol.

Qualifications

• RN with BSN and MSN in Advanced Clinical Practice or NP cert.
• For Physician Assistants: graduate of an accredited PA program and NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Practices in accordance with safe and effective standards of care and ensures compliance with professional and ethical standards of practice.
• Communicates with physicians, peers, nursing staff and other healthcare providers.
• Develops differential diagnosis and plans of care based on data collection and findings.
• Interprets laboratory, imaging and data; reviews care with interdisciplinary team and patient/family.
• Evaluates patient responses to care and establishes health promotion strategies.
• Supports quality improvement initiatives and cost-conscious care.
