Job summary

DABS, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Skills Instructor to work with adults with developmental disabilities, guiding them toward greater independence through structured community activities and personalized instruction.

You'll collaborate with a team, track progress, document case notes, and help participants access resources, employment, volunteering, and education opportunities. The role supports growth in community settings and offers weekly pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Caring heart and commitment to helping others live with dignity.
• Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and insurance.
• Willingness to undergo fingerprint background checks.
• CPR certification and TB test (assistance to obtain available).
• Experience with developmental disabilities is a plus; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered instruction through planned community activities.
• Support individuals in accessing community resources and planning engaging activities.
• Take individuals on community outings and document progress with concise notes.
• Redirect problematic behaviors and facilitate positive resolutions.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure comprehensive support.
