Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking Industrial Maintenance Technicians to ensure bakery efficiency by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across production areas.

You should have a technical mindset, strong mechanical skills, and the flexibility to rotate assignments as equipment and processes evolve. You will learn safe work habits, select and apply proper tools, support preventive maintenance, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience or training in HVAC, welding, electrical and industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and safety procedures.
• Understanding of boiler, refrigeration components licensing considerations.

Responsibilities

• Learn and demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool usage and shop practices.
• Perform lubrication and assist with preventive maintenance as needed.
• Support environmental and maintenance programs and keep areas clean and safe.
• Follow all company policies and procedures (EEO, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley).
• Adhere to schedules and fulfill requested duties as assigned by management.

Industrial Maintenance Technicians ensure optimal efficiency is achieved by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, with safety and quality standards being a top priority. They must possess a technical mindset and demonstrate strong mechanical capabilities, while being flexible and adaptable as they will be required to rotate job assignments throughout various areas of the bakery. Industrial Maintenance Technicians must have the aptitude and drive to seek and acquire on-going training due to ever evolving technological improvements and performance standards.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

• Learn and demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, and general shop practices
• Perform proper component lubrication and assist with preventive maintenance, as needed
• Practice learned knowledge of environmental and maintenance programs
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
• Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures
• Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment

Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, welding, electrical, industrial equipment, automotive repairs, or related field

Additional Ingredients: Essential Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent. Technical/Trade School certification or diploma a plus

Salary Range- 28.70
