Job summary

Florida State University’s IGNITE Tallahassee seeks an Incubator Research Facilities Lead to manage shared lab resources, ensuring biosafety compliance and supporting resident startups with lab capabilities for product development and R&D.

You will supervise interns, coordinate with EHS, and maintain equipment, safety programs, and documentation to enable multiple projects while advancing biosafety standards within the incubator environment in Tallahassee, FL.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and 4 years’ direct experience in managing laboratory or specialized facilities (e.g. bio manufacturing, scale-up engineering, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Advises resident companies on laboratory capabilities for product development and R&D.
• Manages day-to-day shared lab operations including maintenance and safety.
• Establishes biosafety compliance and coordinates with EHS and biosafety personnel.
• Recruits, trains, and supervises student interns and OPS laboratory assistants.
