Job summary

LinkedIn is seeking a Marketing Data Scientist to lead end-to-end incrementality studies, from business questions to actionable recommendations. You will partner with Product Marketing, Finance, Data Science, and activation teams to define hypotheses and KPIs, select rigorous measurement approaches, and translate findings into investment decisions.

You will strengthen measurement standards and automation, enabling scalable testing across channels and geographies while communicating insights

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, economics, applied mathematics, business analytics, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant data science/marketing science experience.
• Knowledge of causal inference methods, geo-experimentation, and observational approaches.
• Experience designing and analyzing experiments (A/B tests, geo experiments, matched-market studies).
• Experience in SQL and at least one programming language (R/Python/Scala).
• Experience in applied statistics and statistical modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead incrementality studies end to end from question to recommendation.
• Advise on hypotheses, KPI selection, sample requirements, and test design.
• Design and analyze experiments including randomized tests and geo experiments.
• Develop geo-based measurement and validate MMM outputs.
• Communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Prioritize and manage multiple analytics workstreams to meet tight timelines.
• Develop scalable processes, dashboards, automation tools, and measurement techniques.
• Stay current on digital advertising and marketing measurement to improve outcomes.
